Since its establishment, INPETRO has grown into one of Mozambique's trusted petroleum terminal operators. Through continuous investment, disciplined management and a commitment to operational excellence, the company became the first greenfield terminal developed in Beira Port, serving Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Botswana.

Construction of the INPETRO terminal was completed over a two-year period, marking the beginning of a strategic energy infrastructure project for Mozambique. Every stage of development was focused on creating a modern, reliable and efficient petroleum terminal capable of supporting the country’s growing energy and logistics requirements.
Following the completion of construction, the terminal successfully entered its commissioning phase. Comprehensive testing, equipment verification and operational readiness activities were carried out to ensure that all infrastructure, systems and procedures met the required standards for safe, efficient and dependable petroleum terminal operations.
INPETRO officially commenced commercial operations, providing petroleum storage and terminal services to customers across the energy sector. This milestone established the company as an important contributor to Mozambique’s petroleum logistics network, supporting the safe handling, storage and distribution of petroleum products.
Today, INPETRO continues to strengthen its position as a trusted petroleum terminal operator. Through ongoing investment in infrastructure, operational excellence and customer-focused solutions, the company supports regional energy supply chains while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, reliability, sustainability and long-term partnerships.
